HOW DID OUR MEETING GO?
THE MEETING WAS HELD ON WEDS 6th FEBRUARY 2019
AND STARTED AT 5.00pm
HERE ARE THE INFORMAL HIGHLIGHTS
Our elected Chairman, Ron was in the Chair.
The minutes of the last meeting:
I apologised to the group that I had not been able to produce a PPG Newsletter, but I will give it priority over the next couple of weeks.
The minutes were accepted!
We were informed that the Practice will be holding an Away-Day for planning and training on
WEDNESDAY 27th FEBRUARY 2019
Therefore there will only be a skeleton staff in the Practice, and so we ask patients to avoid making appointments or calling the Practice on this date.
Although there may be a day’s disruption to service provision, in the long term the Away-Day will line up improved services for patients and staff alike.
There are several changes in staff in the Practice, here are some of them:
Dr Macklin is returning.
Dr Sonia Tsukagoshi is joining the Practice.
Reception will see changes whereby some staff return and others on short term contracts (eg Maternity leave coverage) will leave us.
PROPERTY FACILITIES UPDATE
There are currently urgently needed maintainance and decorative works being carried out around the Practice.
These works may involve the closure of parts of the building for short periods, but the Practice plan to maintain service levels as much as possible.
Currently only Consultanyt Room 10 closed off.
BABY WEIGHING CLINIC
As there have been some confusion in appointment order, this clinic now operates a ticket number scheme. On arrival patients will get a numbered ticket, and that is the order they will be seen. This only applies to this one clinic.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
ARE SATISFACTION FEEDBACK STATISTICS AVAILABLE?
It was pointed out that there is a strict process to deal with complaints, both with the Practice and this Group (the PPG). Please contact reception for details.
AUTISM AWARENESS GROUP
Both the Alderton Group and the Autism Awareness groups are still meeting every 4th Wednesday of the month at the Whitechapel Idea Store.
GENESIS CINEMA SUPPORTS CARERS
The Genesis Cinema near Stepney Green Station has established a free access policy for carers, but certain conditions are set. Check before you go.
