BABBLEVOICE IS TO BE LAUNCHED ON THURSDAY 13th OCTOBER 2016
Yes, we have the launch date of the new telephone system being installed.
D-DAY IS THURSDAY 13th OCTOBER 2016
When you call the surgery from the morning of the 13th, you will notice an entirely new call system in operation, where calls can automatically be directed to the right person for the job.
The long wait in the morning to make appointments will be shortened, and if there is a queue ahead of you, you will be told where you are in that queue.
On calling the surgery you will need your date of birth, name and address to hand, as the system will ask you for some information before you are connected, so listen carefully and just follow the stages requested in the way they ask.
If the voice system is activated, it may ask you to speak your answer. You should answer in a clear voice, so if you can, before calling mute or switch off the telly, radio or sound system, as background noise can make your voice appear distorted, and the system will not understand what you are saying.
You may be asked to enter information using your keypad. You should listen carefully to the instructions, in case you need to press the hash key (#) after you enter your information.
We are not sure as yet which of the many whizz-bangs (functions) are available to the practice and will be activated, as they are currently being tested out at another practice, so follow this blogsite for more information.
Early in your call, you will be given the option of using Bengali or English. Other languages will follow in the future.
One thing we do know, it will make a massive improvement to the current out-dated system.
So. It’s all change from start of work on the 13th, and there’s no going back.
