THE UNOFFICIAL MINUTES OF THE PATIENTS PARTICIPATION GROUP MEETING
HELD AT 5pm TODAY (Weds 29-6-16)
There we were. Exactly the same people as at the last meeting in May. We had hoped that the leaflets handed out over the last month may have produced some new faces, but no such luck. It was pointed out that there were some members of the Bengali comunity interested in joining us, but this meeting was held during Ramadan, so that was a no show.
We were shown the feedback from the survey carried out by the practice over the last month on what time and day patients would prefer meetings to take place. As a result of this survey, the next meeting will be scheduled for:
Thursday 28th July 2016,
So if you are free and would like a voice in how the practice runs, please come along. If you have any enquiries about the patients group, ask at reception or leave a comment at the bottom of this article.
Doctor Simon Brownleader thanked the patient members of this group for their input into the recent CCG Inspection, which the practice came through with all flags flying.
There was a short discussion on the questions asked by the CCG, the main one being that we need to ensure that we (the PPG) should ensure that our membership fairly represents the cultural diversity of the local community. This was agreed by us all.
It was confirmed that members or our PPG have been invited to the PPG meeting of the Spitalfields Practice on Wednesday 27th July 2016 as observers, to see if we can get any any new ideas from them.
Babble is coming! What the hell is babble?
Babble Voice is the new telephone system which will be coming into use soon at our practice. It is slowly being rolled out to practices in the area, and is coming to us soon. For more information on it, just click on it’s logo just above.
The meeting finished at 6.00pm
